Door of Hope
September 2023 – Your donations of preloved winter footwear are ready to warm up young feet in need in country no. 61, Bulgaria. They have arrived in a small, impoverished community to find their new owners with Door of Hope. Many of the children can’t attend the local school because they don’t own footwear, or the shoes they do own, are in no fit state. They experience sub-zero temperatures (-5 °C) so our trainers are accompanying the school shoes, to takeover, once the weather starts to warm next year, and to keep these feet protected once spring appears and leads into next summer.
