In Kibera, Nairobi – the largest urban slum in Africa – the right pair of shoes can mean more than protection. It can mean participation.

At Project Elimu’s skateboarding programme, in partnership with Skateistan, young skateboarders are being fitted with footwear built for the ramps and rails. And for many of them, it’s their very first pair of skate-appropriate shoes.

Thanks to your donations, a shipment of Sal’s Converse Shoes has landed exactly where they belong – on the feet of children carving out their confidence and community at the edge of the half pipe.

Originally designed for basketball players, Converse trainers are lightweight, flexible and durable – making them a top choice for skaters. That’s why our team took special care to match the right shoes to the right feet, and the right activity.

Because it’s not just about finding new feet for your Sal’s Shoes – it’s about finding the right feet.
