When someone is released from prison, they often have little more than the clothes they entered in. At the Departure Lounge at HMP Doncaster, run by Nacro, support is offered to people leaving prison – many of whom are facing homelessness or financial hardship. We donated footwear for service users to wear as they step into the next chapter of their lives.
This is just one of the ways we find new feet for our larger-sized shoes. Having clean, dry, season-appropriate footwear offers comfort and dignity to people navigating major life transitions – because sometimes, your Sal’s Shoes second lot of steps are a second chance.
